Help Desk Operative (Planned & Reactive Maintenance)

Location: Cheadle
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute break)
Salary: £25,000--£27,000 pa

We are a family-owned business looking for a Help Desk Operative to join our small, friendly team. This is a varied role where you’ll play a crucial part in coordinating planned and reactive maintenance requests while also assisting with basic office administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming maintenance requests and scheduling planned and reactive works.

  • Liaising with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely responses.

  • Maintaining accurate records and updating job logs.

  • Assisting with general office admin tasks as required.

  • Providing excellent customer service and problem-solving on the spot.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and confident approach.

  • Previous experience in a help desk or administrative role, ideally in FM or property management.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a small team environment.

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • IT literate with experience using job logging systems (training provided if needed).
